The DeSantis Grand Jury Head Fake
In December Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis requested a grand jury to investigate Pfizer and Moderna for possible fraud. That investigation is destined to go nowhere. Here's how I know.
In December 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis filed a petition to impanel a statewide grand jury for the purpose of investigating potential crimes in Florida related to the COVID-19 vaccines. His petition specifically named both Pfizer and Moderna as possible targets of the investigation.1
Shortly before Christmas, the Florida Supreme Court signed off on the governor’s request.
There is no evidence that DeSantis actually intends to use this grand jury to hold the vaccine makers, or anyone else, accountable for their many alleged crimes in bringing the deadly Covid-19 vaccines to market. Since Christmas, not one scintilla of news has emerged about this investigation.
While grand juries convene in secret, witnesses who testify before a grand jury are free to speak publicly. To date we have heard not a single word from any witness to this grand jury. Surely, if someone on our side who has studied the Covid-19 vaccine atrocities had been called to testify, we would know about it.
That little or no actual investigative activity may be taking place should come as no surprise. Todays’ grand juries are not primarily investigative tools. They are political tools, used to rubber stamp whatever the prosecutor and/or his political allies want. This is not my opinion. It comes directly from the ever-woke, self-proclaimed experts at Encyclopaedia Brittanica:
“In practice, grand juries generally rubber-stamp the wishes of prosecutors…” 2
In certain cases, as in the many investigations of Donald Trump, grand juries are used to create the illusion that an honest investigation has taken place and a serious crime has been uncovered. Prosecutors guide the grand jury toward a predetermined outcome, with evidence and witnesses that tell one side of a story. Meanwhile, the target of the investigation has no right to testify, present witnesses, or offer any evidence to exonerate himself. When the district attorney subsequently announces that the grand jury has indicted the target, the uninformed masses mistakenly believe this means that the evidence against that target must be strong.
Many people have no idea just how one-sided grand jury proceedings actually are. For this reason, an indictment from a grand jury can be a very effective tool for prejudicing the public against an innocent person before the case goes to trial. That is often precisely the goal.
In other instances, as in the John Durham investigation of the Russia collusion hoax, grand juries are formed for the strictly political purpose of appearing to conduct a real investigation when the government has no intention of actually doing so. Once the threat of consequences — political or otherwise — for failing to do so has been removed, the grand jury is disbanded and the criminals (many of whom, in the aforementioned case, were FBI and DOJ officials) walk free.
The DeSantis grand jury investigation of Pfizer and Moderna appears to fall into this category. Campaign insiders say DeSantis sees the vaccine issue as a major problem for Trump. It was Trump’s administration that authorized Operation Warp Speed, enabling the government and pharmaceutical industry to circumvent important safety regulations in bringing these vaccines to market. It will be difficult for Trump to swallow his pride and acknowledge what a colossal mistake this was.
At the same time, DeSantis reads the polls and knows conservatives are horrified by the scale of the vaccine atrocities. He knows that many of us are extremely disappointed in Trump for refusing to acknowledge the widespread injury and death that has resulted.
DeSantis apparently thinks he can pick off potentially millions of Trump supporters by making this a wedge issue. He plans to be the candidate that acknowledges some problems with the vaccines — hence, the appointment of a grand jury to investigate — while Trump continues to brag about his role in creating them.3

However, the reason I know that DeSantis is not actually serious about exposing the dangers of these vaccines and bringing these companies to justice is not because he has impaneled a grand jury to investigate. Rather, it’s because of what he has NOT done.
Many Side Effects
To date, the governor’s office has published just one study of Covid-19 vaccine injury data from Florida. That study compared the rates of myocarditis in individuals before and after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.4 On the basis of that review, Florida’s Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, recommended that males between the ages of 18 to 39 no longer receive any doses of mRNA Covid-19 vaccine.
Ladapo’s announcement sent shockwaves through the public health community. It directly contradicted not just the CDC and WHO but many other health organizations in the U.S. and around the world. For his courage, Ladapo was attacked relentlessly by the medical industrial complex and the drug industry-sponsored media.
It was an important step in the right direction. Vaccine critics like me hoped Florida might take the lead in publishing many more studies of side effects from the Covid-19 vaccines.
Instead, the governor’s team has released none of the other data at its disposal — from Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurers — that could quantify for Floridians the myriad other disastrous side effects of these vaccines, including:
blood clots
strokes
neurological disorders
autoimmune disease
“turbo-charged” cancer
thyroid disorders
vision problems (including blindness)
psychiatric disorders (some of which have led to suicide)
infertility
miscarriages
still births
birth defects
If the governor truly were interested in protecting Floridians from pharmaceutical industry fraud, he would be holding weekly press conferences to release all the latest Covid-19 vaccine injury data from his state, much the way Naomi Wolf appears on War Room weekly to update Steve Bannon’s audience on the many horrific findings from her team’s ongoing investigation of the Pfizer documents.
Published Evidence
Even as the governor’s grand jury convenes in secret, the publicly available evidence is mounting that makers of the Covid-19 vaccines committed crimes to hide the deadly side effects of their vaccines. DeSantis is not alerting Floridians, many of whom are still getting boosted, to the existence of this evidence. He is choosing instead to leave the residents of his state in the dark while they wait, quite possibly in vain, for official word from his grand jury.
The latest such evidence was released just last week. Titled, “Serious Harms of the Covid-19 Vaccines: A Systematic Review,” the authors looked at all the published studies of the Covid-19 vaccines and found strong indications of deliberate deception, if not outright fraud, on the parts of both Pfizer and Moderna. They concluded that the risks of these vaccines outweigh the benefits for many people and that the public is being misled.
I highly recommend that you read the report for yourself.5 Here are two direct quotes to whet your appetite:
“The SAEs [serious adverse events] in the Moderna trial were misleading. For reasons not documented in the trial protocol, Moderna included efficacy outcomes in its SAEs tabulations… Thus, COVID-19 complications were counted as [vaccine] SAEs and these were more common in the placebo group, and therefore, skewed the results.”
“In a follow-up of Pfizer’s trial, 24 of the 32 authors were from Pfizer… The journal article specified that safety would be evaluated through 6 months after the second dose, but what was published in a supplement on a website was in violation of Pfizer’s own protocol and the study report. The supplement only showed data reported up to one month after the second vaccine dose. Thus, Pfizer had omitted five months of safety data. Deliberately hiding harms data could be considered fraud.”
Mixed Signals
Unlike DeSantis, Ladapo appears to be the real deal. He continues to speak out about the dangers of the Covid-19 vaccines even as he is threatened and persecuted for doing so. Recently, Ladapo publicly questioned whether not just young males but anyone, of any age or gender, should be taking these vaccines.6
Since Ladapo is the state’s surgeon general, it is now incumbent upon the governor to make every effort to resolve this question for Floridians. Once again, many people are still getting boosted. The CDC has recommended that we continue taking Covid-19 vaccine injections annually in perpetuity.
There is no indication that DeSantis plans to seek such clarity for Floridians. That’s because his stated interest in getting to the bottom of the Covid-19 vaccine travesty is a head fake. It is carefully scripted controlled opposition. DeSantis is the Republican establishment’s choice for president in 2024. He has already aligned himself, oddly enough, with the Bush family. Rest assured, the Bushes have no interest in taking down corrupt pharmaceutical companies or the government agencies that conspire with and enable them.
Nor do Republicans in the U.S. Senate, whose support any serious challenger to Trump will need. Other than Ron Johnson (R-WI), to my knowledge not a single senator from either side of the aisle has met publicly with vaccine injury victims and demanded an investigation. In stark contrast, the Republican Party of Kentucky’s building headquarters, named for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, recently accepted a $1 million donation from Pfizer.7 McConnell, along with many corrupt Republicans in the Senate, despises Trump and is certain to endorse DeSantis for president. He personally has a million reasons to cover up all Pfizer wrongdoing.
Accordingly, look for this so-called grand jury investigation to proceed quietly, at a snail’s pace, until such time as creating the appearance of a serious investigation of Pfizer and Moderna no longer is in the governor’s interest politically. Then the jury will be disbanded, and some lame excuse will be offered as to why nothing came of it.
In the midst of this latest in a long line of grand jury charades, it is worth noting that the U.S. is one of only two countries in the world that still uses such a system. England’s grand jury, after which our own system was modeled, was abolished partially in 1933 and completely in 1948.
The only other country that still uses grand juries is, drum roll please…Liberia, which even far-left Wikipedia describes as “one of the most politically corrupt nations in the world.”8
The original intent of the grand jury was a good one — to prevent malicious prosecution by a corrupt government. The idea was that average citizens could be assembled to examine evidence and decide for themselves whether it was likely that a serious crime had been committed before requiring one of their fellow Americans to stand trial.
Tragically, today’s grand jury system is a far cry from what its proponents envisioned. Indeed, in the first few decades of our nation’s founding, any citizen could bring a matter to a grand jury for review. If the jury ruled it likely that a serious crime had been committed, that citizen (or a representative of his choosing) could then take the case to trial himself.
That’s precisely the opposite of what we have now, but it’s exactly what we need! Sadly, it is probably the only way we would ever see any real justice for the millions of Covid-19 vaccine injury victims and their families.
Am I wrong? Tell me what you think.
Thank you, Darby, for this insightful post. I had high hopes for Ron DeSantis, and he did seem to be taking steps to get to the bottom of the COVID vax debacle when no one else was, but over time he has disappointed, and your post has shed light on this. From this information, as well as from his flip-flop on the Ukraine war and his first response to the news of Trump's indictment, I now realize he's just one more RINO trying to get to power. I've voted for too many globalists in my lifetime--the Bushes, McCain, Romney--and I don't intend to do it again. The pandemic opened my eyes, and I will never be blind to their machinations again.
So maybe RFK, Jr can drive his points home in a national spotlight, if he ends up running for President. I’d vote for him. I doubt he’d win the primary, but I’d still write in his name for President. I don’t care if he’s a “Dem, a Repub, or an independent”- he deserves my vote. Nobody that actually “wins the prize” for President is anything but a bought tool of sinister forces to subjugate the American people.
